Your second credit of the year expires Dec. 31, whether you use it or not, so this is an opportunity to stack these savings.Essentially, you need to activate that benefit in your Amex account and then pay for your order with your Platinum Card. Start your Saks purchase at Rakuten for 2% cash back. You’ll pay Saks $150.50 plus tax and shipping and get about $3 cash back in your Rakuten account.If you use an Amex Platinum with a $50 Saks credit to pay, you’ll drop your effective price by $50, all the way down to $97.50 after the $3 cash back from Rakuten (before tax and shipping).
